Coach1310
I am looking for a new walleye rod. I probably bobber fish 80% of the time and live bait rig the other 20%. I have like the longer rods for panfish, but my current walleye set up is a 6'6". I am really interested in the 8'3" rod that can be slid into the cork handle to make it 6'4". Anyone have one of those or use Limit Creeks in general? Thanks for any info.
outdoorsmin
Have two smoothies and one 6'6 medium and they are my goto rods. For the money they can't be beat!
Walleye Guy
I have the Limit Creek rod that slides into the rod handle. It is an awesome bobber fishing rod. I have used it for rigging but prefer the smoothie or my St. Croix's for that. Limit Creek's are great rods for the money.
Mike Stark
The smoothies are nice rods.
Mike Walerak
I have 2 of theose 8'3" telescopic rods. They are fantasic if you are looking for a longer rod. I once landed a 9.74 walleye on one! THis is basically a long version of the 6'9" "Smoothie". The Smoothie is great all around rod. Live bait to jigs it can do it all! This spring I finally added 2 6'6" mediums to my arsenal and they too are good all purpose rods.

It is also the best casting light to medium crankbaits rod I have ever used. Here is why... the tip has a way of keeping the cranks stuck in the fishes mouth upon strike, as you know fish really come unbuttoned on cast cranks, just the way it is...you will still loose some fish but it brings fish to the net better than any I know of. Plus the extra length helps bomb casts. Casting cranks across rock piles/reefs at night breaks up a slower bobber night and can land some better fish when you use a speed straight retrieve that turns lookers into strikers. So the rod you were asking about is deadly from an anchored position for both the slip bobber and the casting cranks.Keep catchin'Turk

It's a great bobber rod and has been my go to on lakes like Mille Lacs where you need that long snell. You would be very happy with this rod for what you want it for and will find even more uses for it.
Northlander
I love that 8'3" telescoping for bobbers and deep lindy rigging with heavier weights.
