gixxer01
Lived in St. Cloud for 8 years now, but still do all my hunting in WI. Are any rifles allowed in the shotgun only areas of the state? Wasn't sure if this was for deer hunting only, or if it applies to varmint and plinking as well.
Gordie
Only Deer hunting is what that applies too. you can use a centerfire rifle for varmints or plinking or punching holes in paper.
knoppers
you can also use hand guns in the shotgun only zone for deer hunting, not like its any better than a shotgun though.

Unless your talking about the .308 Thompson Center or in 30-30,30-06 and the list goes on.
minky
I hear the muzzle blast is something to see from those short barrels.
Archerysniper
Yeah it is,I had one with a 30-30 and a 45-70 barrel.
Dave S
I used to have a couple Lone Eagles. One in a .308 and another in a 7MM-08. The latter had a muzzle brake on it. Not that it did much when you're dealing with that much power out of a 14" barrel . Hearing protection is an absolute must when shooting these hand cannons as one fella I know found out the hard way Can't say I didn't warn him. He thought I had a .22. Imagine his surprise when he hit the dirt holding his ears. These guns were extremely accurate if you could hold on to them. The 7MM-08 would put 3 shots through a dime at 100 yards. Dave S
Mainly used it for deer in South central MN. Took it out a couple times for coyote but no luck there.
