2005 Dodge Grand Caravan

Recommended Posts

I have a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan, 3.8 liter v-6, with 128,000 miles on it. Just had the tires rotated and balanced and the guy noticed it was leaking anti-freeze out of the water pump. I am just trying to get this thing through until next fall when we replace it, will I be ok?

Thanks,

BHS

How big a deal would it be if you ended up on the side of the road? If it is just a "drive to work" and get groceries car that might be different than if it is the "load up the wife and kids and drive" car.

They all "seep." The question is, is it really leaking?

It was noticed during a rotate and balance, so it was hitting the floor?

How much lost is the big question. Do you open the hood periodically? Now you have to inspect your coolant level daily(if it's hitting the ground)

That's a pretty cheap pump job by todays standards, on a van that should have plenty life left(unless your rad has been half empty for who knows how long). Why not fix it?
