truck started bouncing?

Recommended Posts

not sure of what is going on, but my 2009 f-150 starts hopping from 50-60 MPH. looking in the mirror, the box is moving, like the problem is in the rear. it rides nice up to 50, then it starts moving with 55 the worst, then mellows out over 60. I put new tires on 13 months ago, and the tires look good. is this just a tire balance issue, or something else?

I go with snow/ice build up inside rear wheels. And just because tires "look" good does not mean they cannot be out of balance. Check inside rear wheels and if they are clean have somebody check those rears for balance and for TIRE being out of round.

Best I can do.

problem has been fixed, it was ice inside the rim. thanks for the help.

Had to de-ice the wheels on the plow truck this morning. All 4 wheels packed. Made for an interesting highway commute between accounts!

Side bar.... Knoppers was recently promoted to HSO specialist. Congrats!
