I hope I will be happy with this model over my Frabill trekker dlx.

Everything went together fine, but this morning I put on a tow hitch and hyfax and when I went to set it up again the front pole was about 3"-4" off the ground, Is this because of the hyfax? How do I go about fixing this?

I also bought a cover but it fits awfully tight with nothing but the seats in it.

The cover says it fits the magnum, Do I need the large?

I would assume the XL fits the Resort?

You have to use the clip on poles that were provided. The reason the front bar won't go down is because the canvas isn't stretched out enough.

I just put my xt650 together today. The guy in the video said because of the dual layer it's supposed to eliminate the pin holes that form in the canvas. I notice on the front door side I could see the sun in various spots where it was stitched together. Is this normal?full-19981-41065-img_20140104_125524_941

Yes I must say it's VERY NICE I was looking for room to stand up and more in front and this 1 has it all.

Thank God they didn't have the Resort there or I would have gotten that 1 and been in trouble, The Lodge just fit's in truck with NO room to spare!

Yes my cover say's sled cover,Do I have to order 1 from Otter for the Lodge?

And yes it was about $1100 but that's with tow bar/cover/hyfax,maybe could have done better at a show but was not looking at the time.

Are you saying this is a pic from a otter xt650? Looks nothing like otters stitching, it doesn't run that way.

Looks like an insulated Fatfish.

It is an otter xt650 just purchased yesterday and set up today. That is me inside with the door and windows covered. Here are some more pics so you believe. The bottom pic is the same as the others above but with the flash onfull-19981-41073-img_20140104_145911_103

The inside of your Otter's fabric looks kinda dark colored? Is it just poor lighting? Mines is that light greyish color like in the video they have on youtube.

Yeah it's a light grey. Any idea about the sunlight coming through the stitching? Yeah in that same video the guy is constantly bragging up the canvas and no pin holes. So just wondering if this is supposed to be hoe it is?

Call Otter! Im willing to bet they will swap out your canvas with a new one. Mines dont have any pin holes. But I do see some minor ones on the thermal roofing. I took a look at many different ones setup at stores on display. Each one I found minor pin holes on thermal roof. I was dissapointed when looking at a Clam Nanook thermal roof and not see any pin holes while the Otter had some. Maybe it was just me but that was my observation.

I didn't realize the stitching ran that way on the xt650. I was even in one and didn't notice it. I had the xt900 and now a xt1200 and the stitching runs in horizontal lines on both so I figured the xt650 would too. Plus the fabric looked black in the picture but I get it now.

I have the 650 and the poles sit off the ground as well...put the extra support poles in and it sits perfectly. Also make sure your Velcro straps are as loose as possible.

Otter is by far one of the best out there.

I did get a new canvas under warranty...the first one the stitching in one of the corners was goofy...sent them a pic and had a new canvas in 2 days at my door. Both have small stitch holes. Even the clam full thermals have stitch holes like that, nothing to worry about.

Bought 1200 lodge this year. I too purchased the wrong cover. You will know when you get the right one the package is about twice as big. I bought a extra pole for the front of house for $16 works great with one on each side. Best price was at l and m fleet. $750.
