Leslie Frazier will be the next defensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the former Minnesota Vikings coach told ESPN's Josina Anderson.

Frazier went 21-32-1 in three-plus seasons for the Vikings, including 5-10-1 in 2013.

Frazier, 54, had one season remaining on his contract with Minnesota.

He will join a Bucs staff led by new coach Lovie Smith, who was hired this week after Greg Schiano's ouster. Also, former California coach Jeff Tedford agreed to be Tampa Bay's offensive coordinator under Smith, according to league sources.

good for him. he may not have been good head coach but is good as defensive coach. lots of coaches out there like that who didnt succeed as hc but are good as lower level coaches.
