I got it bad..

Think I have a problem here guys.. I was chatting on the phone with a buddy today and he kept interrupting me by saying "You said it again" I would keep talking and he would stop me again and say "You said it again"

What I was doing was mentioning bass fishing, I was talking of plans to fish bass and telling him about the progress of the law change and how that would open a few lakes to us a couple of weeks earlier. As I write this it is minus 10 out heading to minus 26 tonight and wind chills are forecasted to be in the minus 40's and I am talking bass fishing 130 days away from opener.... Cabin Fever, I think I have it all ready!

Yeah, I've got it bad this year, too. Christmas didn't help....A few rapalas, a subscription to the Boundary Waters Journal, a few books on mushroom collecting, a new canoe (Ok, those were things I bought for myself). Now we just need some open water.

You think you have it bad!!I haven't got to fish open water since Oct. 2. ( had knee replaced that day)Got new rod and reel to try, couple of umbrella rigs to experiment with.( here in Iowa we can fish two lures or three if you buy a license for a third line) Have them rigged with blades on some of the wires, Plus new/more lures and plastics! Nobody wants to talk to me!!

So I see I am not the only one, I am sitting here reading about others when the wife comes in the den and drops the mail in front of me. On top of the pile is my 2014 lure parts catalog, and I didn't order it! I got the shakes a little as featured on the front cover is, you guessed it, a BASS

A co-worker and I were working together and we talked about fishing and he came to the conclusion that I liked bass fishing. I get the bassmasters magazine and it's read less than a week. I get a new fishing reel from bps. My wife and I are wanting to take a vacation in Jan/Feb/March and it seems like it always centers around bass fishing opportunities. Luckily, I have a wife that thinks like I do and enjoys fishing as much as I do.

So today I find the 2014 Bass Pro Master catalog in my mail box... I think it is a plot against me..
