Old Coleman-Brandywine Model Camper

Chapo

Question

I recently purchased a fish house that use to be an old Coleman pop up camper probably late 70's/early 80's. The issue I have is I need a wheel bolt for one side and it is a "Left Hand Thread Bolt" I have looked at Fastenel and auto parts stores, had some but no luck. Any one know of any old graveyards with old pop up campers or where I could find such a bolt?

Back in the day (60's) Chrysler used to use left hand threads on one side of the car. These were studs with lug nuts. (Nearly killed myself trying to unscrew them the first time to put on snow tires)

(upon further research, they started doing this in the 30's and quit in 1971)

Don't know if this will help.

If nothing else maybe you could find a small machine shop (I can count 3 of them locally here) that could make such an animal. You will need to know the specifics (dia., thread pitch, length and any other particulars tho.) unless you can pound out a different one and they could copy it. But I think first I would check the internet as mentioned before as it would probably be quite a bit cheaper.

Thanks for the info I checked internet and found some, even O'Reilly's had some in the catalog but the bolt I have is 13 thread/inch so it's pretty coarse thread and everything in the catalogs are finer thread so will keep looking. Thanks.
