If my source is correct the driver actually left it running and then baled. From what he told me they unhooked the drag then removed the cab and after refueling and changing fluids and filters they drove it back to Palisade. Pretty amazing if its true, has anyone else heard anything more or any additional or conflicting info?

I saw one about like that in Crosslake about 20 years ago, not quite as deep. I am just wondering, do they (or should they) have some type of towing harness pre-rigged and supported up high, so that if this did happen, they could hook up quickly above water, but have it connected beneath the water/muck to make a quick recovery? Seems like it wouldn't take much.

But maybe this happens so infrequently it isn't needed.

It at least looks looks like his tracks stayed on, the one in Xlake when they were pulling it out the caught a track and pulled it right off.
