What's the ONE NEW jigging spoon to have in this year's arsenal??

I recently picked up the new VMC spoons, as said before not anything new but some of the colors caught my eye. Also picked up some of the Lindy 360 spoons and the new UV buckshots. Every year I say I wont buy much, then I make way to Gander and spend a ton on new line and a bunch of new jigs and stuff. Someday my wife will understand.

Like others have stated, not much new in way of design. But some interesting new colors this year. The uv line from Northland has got my attention, I had good success with the uv crankbaits this fall, I bet the spoons with this paint on them will be good too.

Mainly will be using the Clam Bomb Spoons this year but will also be trying the Clam Blade Spoons and Clam Speed Spoons too.

Even though I bought a couple bombs, I cant help but look at it and scream "IT'S NOT A SPOON"

I don't even know why they call it a spoon, other than having a treble hook off the bottom there is nothing resembling a spoon at all.

Still hope it catches fish though.

The UV line has my attention as well. Im sure on places like LOTW just about anything will w0rk, but Im kind of looking at something just a bit different that sets a spoon apart from the rest of the pack. I'm even going to try and experiment and make a couple of my own this winter during my downtime (If i get any with a new fisherman due on Christmas Day.)

Don't fish much dirty water other than the Horseshoe Chain where the UV Buckshot lineup from Northland might come out to play.

The Buckshot Glider is way overdue, and will definitely find a spot in my spoon box. I know it's similar to Lindys. Just loyal to Northland.

A few years ago I made my own jigging spoons out of old jigheads, craft wire and paint.

An HSO user posted a "How-To" manual and the final product is so awesome.

Nothing more gratifying than slamming walleye, sauger, and crappie on a handmade lure!

the thing I think with these will be that it does have that different look to it and hopefully the fish will react positively to them. I guess time will tell. I don't know for sure how much having that gem at the bottom of the hook will help attract the fish in. in dirty water it might not have a affect but I could see it drawing in fish in clear water lakes.

I only use 3 types of spoons...and 3 types ONLY... Small, medium and large smile

Nah, I would say 99% of the time im on a PK Flutter fish, a PK spoon or a slender spoon. However it really depends on the fish. Walleyes? Pk all day, all night. PERIOD. Crappies? a mix of both brands.

I tend to use the slender spoons more for a finess bite. PK isnt big here in MN for some reason, but for a guides that want something that works when no-one else has it in their box, to make them look like a mad genius, i got go with PK. I think every lure has its day, when nothing else seems to work, but i find that PK has more of those days than any other lure in my LARGE bag.
