Smoker build question

Recommended Posts

Finished my smoker build out of a stainless insulated fridge/freezer. fired her up n was going good but burner went out. I have one side with a chiminney up high an one side with a triangle spin vent, I fired her up again opend the vent more but still went out, im thinking I need one more vent obviously.probably put it on the opposite side of the first one. any ideas?

Your orfice has to be on the out side so the air and the fuel, L.P., mix in the proper proportions. If you have it on the inside, between the smoke and not enough air the fire goes out.

this is a gas smoker, one triangle spin vent at the bottom on oneside an a chimminey up high on the other. the air oriface is on the out side of the unit so to speak. its hard to explain. Ill try an take a picture to show. but its not on the inside wall of the smoker.
