yesterday went out fished deep weeds with the dare devil caught 5 pike in 15 minutes all together 15 pike. biggest 30 inches. winds were light great day to be out on the water

Yep, sometimes nothing beats those old fashioned lures. I've done pretty good with the ol' red eye spoons as well.

Dardevles catch everything! If I've got two rods, one rod will be for "fun new baits/lures", another will be a dedicated inline spinner or spoon rod.

Weedlines? I'll take them for weedlines... and in the weeds, in open water, jigging, trolling, casting, from a boat, through ice, baited, unbaited, red, white, black, green. Heck, they even work topwater. The spoon is the #1 fishing lure.

I have also went back and found all my old spoons and they still produce.

My kid looked at me like I was crazy when I snapped it to the leader a couple years ago and said" what is that thing and what are you going to catch with it" on my first cast it produced a 8 pound pike needless to say he wanted to know if I had an extra one of them.

I caught my very first pike on a Dardevle back in the 50's. And I caught one that weighed 22lbs on one 3 days ago. They sure stand up to the test of time. RK was in my shop not too long ago and can attest to my affection for spoons. I have nearly a thousand spoons hanging on a peg board.
