Regular firearms season 2 zones?

Recommended Posts

Is there a licence that would allow me to hunt 2 zones? Go up north to hunt then hunt during the week near home?

I believe every license allows you to do that, except the 3B license.

"Statewide (A): Valid in any open area during the irearm season that

begins November 9"

"information for Statewide (A) license holders—Your Statewide (A)

season license is valid in any area that opens November 9. You are not

obligated to stay in any one zone. For example, you can hunt in deer

area 346 (9-day season) opening weekend, move to deer area 235 (9-day

season) the second weekend, and inish up your season in 184 (16-day

season) on the last weekend"

You can hunt all the zones/areas with your deer license, they are statewide except for the 3B season. You just have to pay attention to bag limits and what that area is designated as (lottery, HC, Managed, IH, or CWD).

From the regs:

Minnesota (November 23–December 1). 3B hunters can also buy a

And a reminder that it's one buck only statewide per year... got into an argument this weekend about this topic over the deer camp fire, and it still amazes me how many people think that it's one per season (archery, firearm, black powder.)

I hunt a Managed area, HC area, and an intensive harvest area. Still can only put 5 in the freezer with one being a buck.

There's also free landowner tags, which adds another antlerless deer to your bag limit. And an early antlerless season in two small areas, that add 5 more. And the metro area has no limit on antlerless deer.

You're absolutely right, listed as exceptions to the state-wide bag limit in the regs.
