Hows baiting going??

Recommended Posts

It is HOT!!! Literaly!! As far as the baiting is going it is 3 for 4 and waiting on the one we(buddy) moved back a couple hundred yards. Are you guys still seeing lots of natural food with this heat it? Should be drying stuff up considering the lack of rain over the last couple months up here in the NW..

Two outta three for us. Got a daytime pic of one that looks to be around 200 lbs. Camera malfunctioned on the other bait that was cleaned out... GRRRR.

Started another bait, so have four to check when we head back up Saturday morning. Looks like the heat might let up a little for Sunday, Monday!

No hits for me. It could be a tad more hot though. My proven spot is still untouched and set out my other proven spot which has good water around out today. Was planning on staying right around home but made the twenty min drive today.

Alot of 90's in the future so water should help out.

36 for 36. I do have a couple sooty where they hit an leave for a day. Big bears don't like heat. We have a lot of berries an hazelnuts. Heat worries me more than anything

Impressive!

We've got two hunters and are 4 for 4 so looking good.

We are 3 for 3 baiting every day and there is never a drop left with the 10 gal max. Got 3 in the 6'~6.5' range coming in regulary from 5:30-7:00 pm. Never had bear work so easy before even with acorns starting to drop and the heat. Kind of crazy but has cost me 3 beautiful 3rd leaf apple trees.

I finally got hit by 2 bears yesterday, first one at 7:50pm and the other at 10:15pm.either one was very big maybe 150 tops could even be the same bear, hard to tell.the first one came in shortly after a good thunderstorm rolled through dumping a lot of rain.i only have 2 sites going and both bears hit the same one.its a start anyway.

I was 3/3 again with all the bait gone. A lot of night photos but still plenty during the day as well. I won't get to concerned until I bait Saturday and check the photos and times again. I will be hunting the first 5 days and then taking kids out for youth waterfowl day. The hard part will be if the big ones are only coming at night and the others are day time shots. I've shot a lot of bears and a few pretty good ones but after 4 days I might be weak. I hope they keep hitting like they have been even with all the berries around.
