gd44
For those of you who have had your mounts done here, I was wondering how long it has taken for you to get them back?
walleye18
Jerry is the best...one year and it should be done. Have had 4 ducks done by him. Awesome stuff...there is none better. The awards and accolades speak volumes!!!!
gd44
The reason I ask is because I'm at 18 months right now. He made a mistake on my first mount and said he would do one at half price, which is the one he has now. Sure feels like I'm being punished for his mistake. RumRiverRat
He made a mistake on one and to make up for it he agreed to do one for half price?Did he charge you for the first one he made a mistake with?

gd44
No, no discount on the bird he made a mistake on. It was still full price. I know lots of people speak highly of him, but I have been unhappy with his work and customer service.

dukhnt
My last bird took about 15 months. I know he is super busy. When you win the best in the world for waterfowl taxidermy that is going to happen. All I know is I wouldn't go anywhere else. It is worth the wait. TonkaBass
My brother and three of our buddies have had ducks, sea ducks, and geese done by him, and I have to say that his quality is top notch. I dropped a goldeneye off with him 18 months ago and haven't got it back yet. I checked up with him a few times and he has always been very honest and seems extremely busy. Comes with the territory when you are the best in the world. I recommend him despite the wait.
gd44
Just an update. I'm at 19 months now. Twice he has told me he is going to start it. Two weeks ago he said he would start it tomorrow. That has not happened. I understand he is busy but don't lie to your customers. When I dropped it off he said a year and his HSOforum still says a year. If its going to be 18 months some people may be willing to wait that. They should be told up front. He may do great work and win awards for it, but its the ordinary customers like myself who keep him in business.
stacker12
Jerry always says that he will get right on it and then a couple months go by and you hear nothing. I am at around 20 months right now...
fishersofmen
Good way to lose customers and make a bad name for yourself. Its one thing to get behind but be honest about things. I would rather have someone apologize and tell me it will be another 3 months than be fed a bunch of bologna over and over again.
