The HSOforum is fuzzy as to how exactly one purchases a leftover tag (IMO). Can a person just call in to purchase one? Can it be done online? Does a person have to go to an ELS after noon tomorrow?

Bear Surplus....Code 664....You can purchase online...at the DNR headquarters in St. Paul....or any ELS agent....NO PHONE SALES....

If you're going to try be ready at noon with all your information 'cause typicly these Surplus license sell out in a minute or two!!

neither was I. Doesn't help when the HSOforum dies in the middle of a transaction. Of course, knowing our wonderful DNR, they'll have to re-do it because they screwed up.

My buddy tried to get a unit 44 tag and he struck out too. He got in and done at 12:03 and was too late!

I was in and had the license selected by 12:01 and then the HSOforum crashed before I could get to the point where I could select a zone. By the time I got back through to the zone selection, there was only 2 zones left.

Talked to a fellow at the DNR license center and he said roughly 2 minutes and 45 seconds it was all over.

Yep, I got in 1 to many pages to far just before noon and could not refresh so I had to start over. It was 12:03 by the time i got back in and only area 22 was available. I won't make that mistake again. Oh well, I still get to run baits for my buddy that did get drawn this year. Maybe I can sit with him and film the hunt for him.
