Website or App that shows wind conditions

Besides your normal weather sites are there others our there that show more detailed wind info? I was showed a Iphone app that shows really detailed info but cant remember what it was called.

For a HSOforum iwindsurf has always been really great but I havent gotten the hang of the app yet. I dont really like the app.

I've found no app to be as good as this site. I just put a bookmark on my desktop.

I have found no better resource for weather than the above 3. I use them all on my phone. I do have a weather app, but that is just so i have moon phase, temp, etc displayed right on my phone background.

Truth nailed it with the first suggestion. If you dig a bit further into the NWS info you can find a page that gives projections out several days including wind speed and direction. You just have to learn how to read the flags for speed and direction. Here is what I use;

I guess i just like it simple. I use the fox 9 weather app. It opens to radar and the hourly button shows wind speed and direction by the hour. Just what you need and nothing more.

If you got to NOAA and type in your zip code, scroll to the bottom and click on tabular forecast. THis will give you an hour by hour forecast, although in my experience you can always add about ten mph to what is forecast.

I use "WindFreak" on my phone "android" there is a free version and also one you have to pay for.
