Getting one for my youngest son this fall. Will it play PS3 games and when do they come out?

PS3 games wont work. It should be out in November, but it all depends on when you ordered yours.

No PS3 games, which is fine because the PS3 will move downstairs for the 11 and 8 year old.

I preordered mine the second day that were available from Best Buy.

I would never buy the first build

I had the original 80gb PS3 that was backwards compatible with the PS2 games. It had so many hours on it, it was insane. Then I got a second slim and it was nothing but problems. My slim version locked up all the time, and had lag problems much worse than my original. My theory is that the larger versions were more efficient at keeping cool, and the fat version had 4 usb ports instead of 2. Newer isn't always better, and both the new xbox and PS4 are basically weaker PC's now. The only advantage of waiting for a later version is lower price, and more games will be available.
