Idea for Shed Antlers

Recommended Posts

In an effort to find a use for all the small shed antlers I have accumulated over the years, I came up with a personalized deer antler bottle opener.

I'm just curious if anyone else likes the idea?

At first glance I thought the top antler was a handle to a cabinet. If you had enough small ones, and have a cabin, they would make interesting handles to your cabinets, silverware drawers, etc.

Very cool! I dont know what it is, but no matter how many hundreds I find I cant bring myself to cut or drill into them! Some of the saw-offs ive found dead, ive made into saw/tool handles, necklaces, rings, cabinet handles, picture frames, coat hangers, etc.

Very cool! Couple of questions:

What do you carve in them with?

Are you a transplanted Minnesotan, being you live in IA & have Gophers & Vikings carvings?

I'm kind of with whoever said I couldn't carve it in them myself no matter how many I find.

I'm from Southern MN, and will always be a fan of MN teams. I was traded to Iowa when I was dating my wife, who is from Urbandale, IA.

I won't part with my big sheds, but I don't have a problem parting with the little guys.
