cant believe no one mentioned jumper cables and spare gas and oil

They were mentioned on the first page by "wish I were". Except for the gas.

I carry at least 30 gallons of gas and 2 gallons of oil, if that's not enough I shouldn't be out fishing!

And yes I've used my jumpers more than once too!

On that note, I bought an entire replacement hub with bearings installed a Northern. Hopefully I never need it, but it would sure make a bearing failure go a lot easier.

i will also be adding one of those to the truck for long road trips.

Tool kit has been mentioned a few times I would add in the kit a small socket set and screwdrivers. Don't know how many times a reel needs a little tinkering with. Fuses for everything in the boat that needs them. Black tape, duct tape, zip ties, Spare fuel line/bulb, trolling motor prop. If you are a shallow water fishermen a push pole has many uses from launching your boat to retrieving lures and getting through the thick stuff. Small note book to jot down special events of the day and to note what you don't have on the boat when you need it. Super glue and a first aid kit, just big enough to stop them northern and walleye cuts on your fingers from bleeding all over the new boat.
