Meat-Run, how are those Hyfax coming? Are you going to make it? confused

Walleyehooker, is there a sled drop off place you park at that you can post so if others want to meet us up there Sat morning around 9:00am or so they can find us?

I got the hifax on yesterday, that sure was a fun job(sarcasm). So if I get a pass for Saturday how long will we ride, I need to keep the wife happy and be home at a decent time, 3pm??? Let me know and I'll push hard for the hall pass... grin

I think and I will find out for sure but I think you can park and drop sleds in Malmo by the trail by the gas station/restaurant. We will probably drop our sleds at my friends place just south of there and can meet up in Malmo. Anyone can come along and tag along as long as they want to. A couple years ago we did a ride up there at about the same time and the trails were great and hardly any traffic. Gets pretty quiet by the lake this time of year. Not sure where we will head to but my friend lives up there and knows the trails well and will probably be the guide.

I called Malmo Citgo Sunrise Café and they said there is parking on their lot on the north side right by the trail. We may even park there and have breakfast before we take off and figure out where we want to go from there. Ill have my friend meet us up there. If me and Leech leave here around 7AM we should be in Malmo about 8:15 or so.

I'm sure you can always drop off and ride back if you need to leave early. If it's nice out I want to ride until Midnight! laugh ha.

I'm not sure where Hookers buddy will lead us but when I looked at the DNR map there was a few nice big loops all the way to Mcgregor that we could take N/E out of Malmo so maybe that is the way he would go?

Trails were well marked so it should be easy for someone to break off and head back if they wanted to. I think last time we ended up towards Cloquet or moose lake before we turned around but we could head towards McGregor to. My friend will know which trails are best and he said the rivers were good to. Ill ride to midnight if you want to. He said the lake was good so we could do some resort hoping as those will be fairly quiet to this time of year. If someone wants to leave early Im sure we can also loop around and get closer to Malmo if they aren't sure how to get back.

If you have a smart phone Polaris has a good snowmobile trail map app.

Well looks like I got a "hall pass" and yes I have the Polaris App already and it's really nice and accurate every where I've been. Are we meeting at 8:15 or 9am in Malmo?

Been on enough lakes, I want trails and deep swamps to explore if folks are up for that, but I'm along for the ride. 8:15 might be tight for me but I'll be there soon as I can, not sure how long it takes from Brainerd to Malmo, I'm thinking about an hour!?
