Pool 4 of the Mississippi is always open. I'm waiting for 50+ degrees and I'm gonna be on the water!

pumper here as well. LOVE walleye fishing in the spring. love sitting on the water in mid july even more!

I also love open water season cause that means we are heading closer to fall which then leads into hunting season...which is then closer to hard water season, which is then closer too...

gotta love the upper midwest and all the seasons it has to offer!

I will have the boat out of storage in probably 3 weeks or so, until then lots of great panfish action for some of the nicer gills and slabs yet. Nothing better than the late ice panfish bite. One day on the ice, the next on the river.
