Fishing licenst expired 2/28, or no?

I would tend to agree with a March/April timeline if there was an across the board “opener” shortly after that but that’s not the case. Everything seems to always revolve around the stinkin walleye. The “opener” means absolutely nothing to me.

There are a LOT of people that never stop fishing. To some of us the only thing the calendar means is how much daylight we are going to have.

I know its selfish thinking but when you fish year round Jan-Jan or 1 year from purchase date just makes more sense.

It is not that hard to remember unless you get to ice fish into May...what I do is I buy a license after my ice season and before I get the boat out...that way I never have to worry. I make the license purchase part of my getting the boat ready routine...

Right, and it's also very selfish for everyone to so narrowly look at in through their walleye filter. The bottom feeder opener is just one of many seasons that start and end, but like you said- there are many opportunities year round. Thank god. And some of those fish even fight unlike the bottom feeding 'WALLEYE'.

I for one, would just like to get what I pay for from any state no matter when I go there. If I buy a yearly license I want it for a year. Not a month or two if I buy it late in thier mysterious 'season'.
