maplegrovefisherman
Has anyone ever ice fished this lake. I see it is only 5 ft deep, but appears to have Crappie, Bluegill and bass.
WalleyeChaser
Have never tried it. I drive by quite a bit and never see anyone out there! But its always worth a shot!
DonBo
I've never seen anyone out there either, might be a bust, OR it might be a hidden treasure!
Nick Kuhn
At only 5 feet deep my guess is it winterkills frequently: meaning probably lots of small crappies, bullheads, and a few sunnies. If you get enough mild winters in a row there could be some OK fishing I suppose.
maplegrovefisherman
Well, drilled a few holes and nothing. Was fairly shallow so have to agree on the winterkill comment.
BRG21
I too have often wondered about this lake. I read on the lake link forum that people have caught some nice panfish within the last few years there. What exactly did you fish for? Did you check all three of the ponds? How deep was it exactly? I would still consider getting a few guys and peppering with tip ups for some norskies...fished many shallow, small lakes successfully for pike. ARNE
I would guess they are talking about a different three lakes. I have lived near there most of my life fished it 2 or 3 times when i was a kid and only caught bullheads but you never know.
