Hartley
Whats the best ratio for Amsoil Sabre oil when using a Jiffy 3hp or similar auger hp wise?
bobbymalone
80:1 to 100:1 Just like it says on the package. Don't be scared If it's a brand new auger though, I'd break it in with conventional oil at 24:1 or whatever jiffy recommends.
Lawrence Luoma
100:1 like said by bobby "Don't be scared!!" You'll love the non blue smoke coming from the auger!!
holmsvc
I run 85 to 1 with my strike master and it runs great!
slipbobbin
85:1-90:1 for my strikemaster.
Lip_Ripper Guy
I've run at the recommended ratio for 2 years, with a lot of use, and no problems at all in two augers.
hovermn
90-95:1 here. I've used Saber for yrs now in everything. Chainsaw, weed whip, auger, blower, etc... Used standard oil one time after running out of Saber. I'll never make that mistake. I find these small two strokes run better with the Saber, let alone have less smoke. Mix with confidence. It won't let you down.

Nice having only two gas cans to worry about straight gasmixed gas (with Sabre)
fishersofmen
I'm making the switch this year myself after all the good things I have heard about it. Tired of oil pi$$ing out the exhaust on my auger.....
muc33
As said, if it's new, break it in. Run a tank of 24:1 mix through it with the bit off and just let er run. Then do a tank of 50:1. Then let er buck at your preferred point of 80-100:
MNCPRGUY
The pillow packs are awesome. Add one to your gallon gas can and you are good to go. Run it in all my small engines and will never go back! Every month or so I dump what remains in my gallon can into my truck and mix up a fresh batch. Fresh fuel and Amsoil are my auger's best friends!
ND4LIFE
I've been running Sabre at 50:1 on my Strikemaster LazerPro that I bought new last year simply because they require this ratio for warranty purposes. One pillow pack to a half gallon of gas. This way I keep the gas fresh by not mixing a big batch. Next season I'll probably lean it out a bit. I pulled the spark plug and couldn't believe how clean the cylinder and piston looked. Very good oil!
