fisherman-andy
There's been alot of discussion lately on this type of topic in here. If you do a search I think you may find several informative threads. You will find it helpful on pinpointing the purchase of your next parka/bibs suit. Brad B
I recommend the Striker Climate Suit. It is two suits in one. if you remove the inner layer the remaining outer shell is equal to the Striker Lite Suit and with the inner layer in the suit it is the same as the hardwater suit. Brad B
I think you will be happy with the striker suit. I have one of last years hardwater suits and if I was to buy another one I would go with the climate. I really like the changes they made to this suit. they made the bibs cover the chest now. the original bibs only covered the stomach area. by adding the extra length over the chest they now come with hand warming pockets up there. some other changes include the removable towels on the legs now, extra venting along the back and the inseam can be set to any size with in the adjustment range. I think the range of the inseam goes from 29" to 34". on the original bibs you could adjust it but it was only with three different snap postions(29", 31", 33"). this years bibs use velcro for the adjustment.the item number for the climate bibs is #216000 and the item number for the jacket is #116000 on their HSOforum. adamr
Is the climate mutch different than the hard water version other than the fleece jacket?
Brad B
the outer shells are alittle different in the type of material. the hardwater is not a 2 part system like the climate is. to get the specs of both look at strikers HSOforum. Brad B
Brad you are one of the most knowledgeable guy around. I like to know as much about the products I use and will alway share what I know if it is a product I have personally used and recommend. Not only do I use a Striker suit but I have talked to the guy that designed them. he was the one that filled me in with all the new info on the Climate suit and what the changes were for this year verses last years hardwater suit. they try to always improve on thier products each year and they value customer feed back both good and bad. And as long as I am thinking about it, I want to tell you thank you for telling me about the adapter for the hand auger so it can be used on a drill. this is what I love about HSO, people that know about different product are willing to help others learn about these products they may never knew exsisted. Hardyboy
Personally ive done a bunch of research and gotten the first hand knowledge of the great people on this site like brad and dtro and a host of others and have decided to pull the trigger on the new striker suit. I was going to buy one last year and am glad things didnt work out to get it then. The new advancements in the suit re a big change from laat yeara model and show that they really listen to their customers. Theres a 1 yr warranty that i know will be backed if and when needed. simple1
Has anyone heard of "Mossi" brand suits. I was in FF yesterday and saw them across from the ice fishing gear. I was reading the tag and said its a flotation suit, or the suit has flotation properties. Any, just wandering if anyone has heard of this company because the suits are a little cheaper, but I could not find any of their products online that state they do indeed float.Simple1

Likely a similar product compared to Striker's own Sureflote material. Other then that I have seen the Mossi suits at fleet farm but never paid much attention in observation.
