FishinFreaks
Looking for a good spot to find a reasonably priced sled. hsolist is crazy. People ask a mint on there. What are some other good options?I'm looking for something around $18-1900. Long track. EFI. Good shape, as I'm not so mechanical.Thanks. toughguy
C,L is usually the best place IMO. It's a bad time of the year to be looking so the prices will be high. That doesn't mean people won't take less. I would email the sellers and see if you can bump them down over email before you even drive over to take a look. Walleyehooker
It isnt a good time of year to think you will get a steal on a sled but if it doesnt start snowing prices will come down. Times are still a little tough and cash talks. Better to spend a couple hundred more on a sled in good condition rather than spending money on repairing a beater. Parts are getting very expensive. Northlander
Long tracks and 2 ups are at a premium now because of gas prices. I have a 95 Polaris XLT Touring that I was trying to sell to get a newer sled but couldnt justify selling for less than a grand that all the tire kickers wanted it for.Good used sleds with long tracks or 2 ups get good money at this time of year. Best time to buy is just as we lose snow so prices drop and you can still test drive them.
leech~~
The way to work those sites is to keep checking often, and be ready to move when something sounds good. You will find that good deal from some one that doesn't know what they have, but you have to move ASAP with some cash in hand! Bring what they are asking and try to get them down from there but if it's a really good deal you will have it on you if they wouldn't deal. The other thing is know as much about what you are buying ahead of time, being able to spot damage or needed repairs and point them out to the seller makes them know they can pull one over on you and you can get prices down from there. Good luck!
