Thermacell Heated Insole

Recommended Posts

I haven't but have the same issue. What's helped me stay out nearly all day in very cold temps is those boot blankets. I wear good boots with the right sock combo everyone always talks about. Then when in the blind or up in my stand, I slip those covers over my boots with a couple of cheap hand warmers in each. I can honestly say my feet never get cold now when doing that. Good luck!

I looked at those, pretty spendy, but if your feet freeze they may be worth the cash, if they work well. I have no experience with them. I use heated insoles made by Heat Factory called heated footbeds. These are an insole made by Heat Factory company that you put a chemical footwarmer they make in a slot in the insole under the toes. They seem to work pretty good for me.

What do you wear for socks and what kind of boots? Your sock combination can make a huge difference in keeping your feet warm.

I bought a pair for my dad last week. He hasn't used them yet but I will fill you in once I find out more. The reviews I read on them were all very positive with one exception. There seems like there was a "bad batch" at some point as multiple people mentioned getting warmers that didn't work at all

For a guy like my dad, who gets cold feet even in 40 degree weather, it's a great idea because it's much less hassle then using the toe warmers all the time. I'm crossing my fingers that they work for him.

I am interested in those too. I can't even stand having a sock misaligned. No way I could put up with warmers under my toes, it would drive me crazy. I also get cold feet in freezing weather, bought a pair of 2000 gram boots, they help, but not when the temp dips below 0.

What many hunters forget is that the warmer your feet are the more they will sweat. Even if you have a 10 minute walk in the morning your feet will sweat. Wet feet become cold feet. I suffered with cold feet all the time until I tried using anti perspirant on my feet. I now use it any time outside in the winter and no more cold feet.

Very interesting. What kind of anti-persperant do you use?

I have them and the jury is still out. They made my boots too tight this past weekend so my feet were cold and uncomfortable. The battery lasts about 5 hrs they say on high. I turned them on when my feet got chilled and then shut them off when it took the edge off. I will wear them again this weekend with a different boot and hopefully they are more comfortable.
