Whos saving their tag for Muzzy

I am! cant wait. Gonna hunt youth on the 18th with my youngest daughter, opening rfle with my oldest daughter, second weekend with my wife, an muzzy is all mine baby! Love it!

Back when my zone was managed I would hold out for a good buck until the end of gun season. I would then take a doe the last weekend if one showed up, hoping for a buck during muzzy.

I am not saving my tag but I will not drop the string or pull the trigger on anything but a really nice buck, so chances are I will still have a tag come muzzy season...

I am...sort of. My nephew lost his rifle in a fire a couple weeks ago and rather than have him rush into a purchase, sight-in, etc. he is using my .308 and I will be carrying my .50 sidelock muzzleloader. Where we hunt up by Isabella, it's rare to be able to see more than about 75 yards, so it's not a big deal. So I get two ML seasons!!

+1 on what paceman said, I will probably have a chance to take a doe in a managed area towards the end of gun season.

I am in the same boat. Usually I don't save my buck tag for muzzy, but this year I was drawn to hunt Ripley with muzzy so I am going to give that a try and see if I can get a late season Ripley monster. Up until that time, its gonna have to be a very big buck for me to shoot at it.

Im only saving it for the right deer, dont care what weapon I use but will use them all as needed.
