Attaboy Bryce you have been kinda quiet this year. I was at the game last night and for a school with 5,000 students they gave a school with 50,000 all they could handle. Beavers are having a thought year that is for sure but, there record doesn't tell the whole story. Now I gotta get to the game. I'll catch ya later.

Took a while for Bryce to take a shot at Bemidji this year, funny he didn't mention it last week when UND was lucky enough to walk away with and empty net goal win and a tie. That is some Sioux hockey right there! wink

We will gladly share the McNaughton with you guys, both teams could have easily had it to them selves if they took care of business earlier in the year.

Agreed!! Both teams could throw out their list of excuses but they should both look in the mirror if they wanted it for themselves.

Now is when the real season really starts. To me there is no clear cut favorite for the Final Five or the NCAA's for that matter.

Happy for Drew. He's definitely been my favorite Husky of all time.

If I had to predict one upset I would go with CC over Denver. I think CC has been more solid down the stretch.

The only higher seed that really scares me is SCSU. They have been having trouble with the cupcakes this year. Hope they take care of business.

Sounds like an absolute horrible call against The Sioux last night. 5 minutes + game for blow to head on an obvious clean hit. Bet I won't be surprised to see who reffed. Shepherds have been a big influence on The Sioux reputation for dirty play. Assume rodents will take their hometown officials with them to Big Ten to help try to keep up with the Michigans.

Boo Hoo!!!! Maybe if you weren't a bunch of punks they might have invited you into big ten.

On a side note last weekend when the rodents were here they had alot of fans that attended the game and after each time they did their little cheer they would end it with sioux suck! I thought that was kinda funny.

Riiight. Let the rodent thugs cruise the ice throwing knee to knee checks and then step in and break it up when Sioux confront them. Let the rodents chirp from the safety of their bench. Act offended when something happens in the hand shake line.#shepherds

Sioux were ready to settle that the way it should have.

Playoffs are here.

Bryce, i get my sioux-player-punching-opposing-team-player-in the handshake line incidents mixed up (there are so many!) Can u help me out? Wasnt there one time when one of the biggest goons on the sioux pulled the smallest gopher on the ice out of the handshake line and took a few pokes at him?

That was my favorite sioux player doing the "psyche!" on the handshake and taking a poke instead moment!

On a brighter note Bryce- your beavers are playing well! up on the gophs 3-2 with 15min left! The MN high school league may just deny that bid application for the beavers yet!

I'm still waiting for Bryce to tell us all why he hates Bemidji? Clearly this bitterness goes well beyong hockey. The Beaves do have more frozen four appearances than half the of D1 teams out there.

    • Truly sorry to hear that duffman! I know that feeling.  Keep the good memories
    • Chamois passed away this weekend a couple days short of her 13th bday. What a great dog to hang out with here at home and on distant adventures. Gonna miss ya big time my little big girl.
    • Sounds pretty sweet, alright. I will check them out, thanks.
    • If you really want to treat your wife (and yourself) with a remote operated trolling motor, the Minn Kota Ulterra is about easy as it gets.  Auto stow and deploy is pretty awesome.  You just have to turn the motor on when you go out and that the last time you have to touch it.   24V 80lb.  60 inch shaft is probably the right length for your boat.  They ain’t cheap - about $3k - but neither one of you would have to leave your seat to use it all day.
    • Wanderer, thanks for your reply. I do intend for it to be 24 volt, with a thrust of 70-80. Spot lock is a must (my wife is looking forward to not being the anchor person any more).  With my old boat we did quite a lot of pulling shad raps and hot n tots, using the trolling motor. Unlikely that we will fish in whitecaps, did plenty of that when I was younger. I also need a wireless remote, not going back to a foot pedal. We do a fair amount of bobber fishing. I don't think I will bother with a depth finder on the trolling motor. I am leaning toward moving my Garmin depth finder from my old boat to the new one, just because I am so used to it and it works well for me. I am 70 years old and kinda set in my ways...
    • Dang, new content and now answers.   First, congrats on the new boat!   My recommendation is to get the most thrust you can in 24V, assuming a boat that size isn’t running 36V.  80 might be tops?  I’m partial to MinnKota.     How do you plan to use the trolling motor is an important question too.     All weather or just nice weather?   Casting a lot or bait dragging?   Bobber or panfish fishing?   Spot lock?  Networked with depth finders?  What brand of depth finders?
    • We have bought a new boat, which we will be picking up this spring. It is an Alumacraft Competitor 165 sport with a 90 horse Yamaha motor. I will be buying and installing a trolling motor,  wondering if I can get some recommendations on what pound thrust I will want for this boat?  Also, I will be selling my old boat, is there a good way to determine the value on an older boat ( mid-80's with a 75 horse 2-stroke  Mariner motor)  I will appreciate any help with these questions.
