Eskimo Z51 shark

Are these good augers? I found a heck of a deal so I'm thinking of ordering one. Any feedback would be awesome thanks

I have a Mako and it is great. Very smooth cutting and no backlash at the bottom of the hole like others I've used. I think they are pretty heavy duty too (not as many plastic parts as the others). I don't think they are the fastes or lightest augers but they are well made. (However I admit that I bought ans Eskimo because they are located near my lake place and I like to support the local businesses when I can).

I bought one last year.I think it is a good auger but they are not like they used to be before they started importing them and putting their name on them.

Dad, bro and I all switched to eskimo a couple years back. No issues with any of them. We have 2 51's a 71 and I have a Mako 43. I really like my 43 since it's a bit lighter and I also like the durability of the metal handle. It turns a little slower than the 51 but cuts awesome.

Got the Mako too, best auger i've ever owned, going on 8 yrs now and never dad a problem. Starts every fall with a couple pulls. Eskimo all the way..

I got a Z51 a5 years ago. had trouble at first keeping it running. The coil was bad. put on a new one runs good and cuts good.

You'll probably start seeing more of these out there now that Rapala is selling the same auger re-branded.

Couldn't pass it up for the price 260 fot everything was at my door the next day....cant wait for ice now
