Surplus Bear Tags?

Has anyone seen the list yet? I have been looking since yesterday and can't find it anywhere. I emailed the DNR yesterday morning and no response yet. Sent another email this morning. The tags go onsale Monday, would be nice to see the list before hand. Normaly when I email the DNR they respond back within a couple of hours, most times sooner.

The HSOforum says they will be putting out a news release but I havent' seen one yet...keep checking the DNR site...as for me, I've already got my License!

Does anyone know if you can apply for the surplus permits as a party? Only one of three from our party can make it to a station around noon and we would only want to go if we all have permits? Or can someone buy licenses for someone else? They could still run out by the time you got to the last person since you would need to put them in back to back.

Just called the DNR, as expected you can't apply as a party. He said my best bet would be to go to a store that has 2 terminals and apply at the same time and basically hit "enter" at the same time in hopes of getting 2. He did say you can apply for someone who is not with you as long as you have all the correct info. Seems odd, but I'm assuming you would get more hassle from the agent selling the license than anything.

Dosent everyone in the party have to sign the lisence or is it just the main applicant. I was questioned on this an tried to answer the best I could an after reading the regs, dont you need the ID number from the reciept when trying for a surpluss tag for party. Say you have 4 people dose the agent have to press enter 4 times. Good area to address cause the regs dont seem to litteral on the party surpluss tags

Yea kindof seems odd. DNR issued 6000 tags and there is 1092 unbought licenses, seems like a pretty high percentage to me. Would hope there is no game playing going on cause it causes alot of stress on those who apply and are bent on going and don't get drawn.....Thankfully I did.

Me too, I suppose the tree huggers apply for some of it, others decide they don't or can't go or didn't expect to be drawn...I got a surplwus last year so glad they have it in place

8 minutes into it and all gone for area 31. I had my time figured out to the second and waited jut 5 seconds lbut couldn't get into it. My daughter in law was able to get one for my daughter, don't know about my son in law yet. She tried for me but they were all gone.DRAT! Oh, well, I will still be baiting for two aind possibly 3. Hope everyone else got one.

Holy smokes! Little over 8 minutes for 140-some tags to be bought up! Will be interesting to see how fast the other zones went!

My daughters were in line for me this morning and I have one for area 24.

I was inline 30 minutes before with 2 people ahead of me and 4 behind. I got one and the guy behind didn't.. From the emails I got it looked like some clients who didn't draw this year also struck out on suplus tags. Last year I had clients who forgot to buy tags!!!
