CJH
Anybody know when they finalize the last half of the schedule? I am trying to pencil in a few games to attend with my family, but not knowing what time they play is making it difficult!! The late games are tough on the kiddo!2012-2013 SCHEDULEDate Opponent / Event Location Time / Result08/30/12 at UNLV TV Las Vegas, Nev. 10:00 p.m. CT09/08/12 vs. New Hampshire TV TCF Bank Stadium 11:00 a.m. CT09/15/12 vs. Western Michigan TV TCF Bank Stadium 11:00 a.m. CT09/22/12 vs. Syracuse TV TCF Bank Stadium 7:00 p.m. CT09/29/12 at Iowa * Iowa City, Iowa 11:00 a.m. CT10/13/12 vs. Northwestern (HC) * TCF Bank Stadium 11:00 a.m. CT10/20/12 at Wisconsin * Madison, Wis. klecker
The Big Ten TBA's a lot of the schedules to have the flexibility when games are aired, and what channel its aired on. Being it’s the Gophers you can plan on most games being around noon or so.
SkunkedAgain
Indeed. It's frustrating to schedule around Big10 games as they often don't release the times until a week or two before kickoff. At least it might finally be a winable schedule at home this season. We shall see.
CJH
I wanted to go to a day game with the family and then a night game with friends. Unfortunately my schedule is a lot more open the second half off the season, but w/out knowing game times, how I can line up a baby sitter or really even plan anything. I just don't get why the schedule can be set for every other team sport w/out issue, but not the gophs. I know its a B10 thing & for TV, but I can't imagine this helps attendance. Sorry if this turned into a little bit of a rant!!
klecker
It all comes down to the mighty dollar. You got one evening game vs. Syracuse at 7pm. As for the conference games, the Big 10 won’t waste an evening spot with the gophers. You can safely plan for 11-12 and 2:30-3 pm starts. As for lining up a baby sitter, you got over two months for those games. Dates for those games will start trickling out soon.
SkunkedAgain
That might be mostly true, but last year there was a 7pm game versus NDSU, 2 night games in 2010 versus Ohio State and Northern Illinois, and the classic shoot-out ugly game versus Michigan State in 2009. So every year there is usually one or two night games.
Scott M
Didn't see a lick of it, but they won against a freshman QB away in 3 OTs. Not a good start, but with Kill it seems the club gets better over the course of the season.
PierBridge
It's a big win anyway you slice it!Go Gophers!
LMITOUT
Looks like a pretty soft non-conference schedule with no teams from North or South Dakota on there.
harvey lee
I would like to see them win a few conference games. Those other games are typically against poor teams and mean about nothing. Not holding my breath yet for a good season.
zepman
I saw the game and they should have won by 21 points. Terrible game by Grey...had they received even average QB play it would have been a convincing win.A win is a win and a step in the right direction. JBMasterAngler
I'm hoping that they got their tough gritty win out of the way and next week will be their big time confidence builder, but when it comes to 1-AA teams, nothing has been easy for the gophers With Penn State and Ohio State banned from bowl games this year, the gophers could land into a pretty good game if they can get eligible. I would have to agree with you about Grey he missed alot of open recievers badly.
