Superduty
Look at Zeko Shoes. A lot of the top bass pros wear them. Not a sandal. Quick dry shoe with drains in the sole. Very light and supportive.
Down Deep
Over the years I've owned a lot of shoes and the best sandals I've found are Keen. They have a toe that holds the foot on the sole and keeps them from getting banged up; the sides are built up on the edge and that helps keep out pebbles, sand and the pesky little rocks when wading; and they dry fast. I bit expensive up front, but I'm on year 5 with mine and they look to go another couple years. I also have a pair of keen light hikers for cooler temps. They are waterproof, but don't make your foot feel like it's wraped in a plastic bag. And for those colder days I have a pair of MonTrail 100 gram insulated ankle high hikers. I think that each of these shoes meet the goal of 8 to 12 hours of comfortable ware.
