lakeshoremunster
anyone know of a good spot to pick up a few bags of smoking pellets in the metro area?
delcecchi
If you get desperate and are willing to expand the definition of Metro...Ye Olde Butcher Shoppe in Rochester sells traeger smokers and bags of pellets of several varieties.
chaffmj
Beisswenger's in New Brighton has 40lbs of pellets for $30 and the 20lb Traeger pellets for $20. I was just in their today to get some for work along with a Louisana 680 grill.
hockeybc69
Best deal on the planet..... Menards. $4 for a 50 lb bag.....I contacted the company that makes them. They said its 100% fresh cut wood. A mix of hardwoods. The best thing about it.... I emailed them and said I had a wood fire pellet smoker/grill............... The marketing manager was the one the replied and he said they have a wood fire pellet grill on their patio that they use to feed the troops in the plant.....I have been using them for a year now, and have no complaints at all! chaffmj
That is a great deal. What kind of wood is in the mix?
hockeybc69
I dont recall specifically. Its a mix of "hardwoods".No pallets or other recycled materials. 100% fresh harvested wood.I am trying to find the company name. The guy I emailed was wery helpful. He even invited me for a tour of the facility if I am ever over there.I cook everything with the pellets. I would like some fruitwoods for smoking at times, but its been just great the way it is now.
