Looks like yellow grub to me. Neascus black spots is also present. In otherwise a badly infected fish. Dont eat. LOL.

Some people dont mind mind the black peppers. But I would not touch them. There's enough scary parasites going round already whether one thinks its life threatening or not.

C&R if your not going to eat it! Do you eat the pectorial fin? Neither of the visable parisites(black spot, and what looks like warts or fish lice) will harm a human, or the fish for that matter.

Oh I should have specified.. I meant the stuff right by the fins.. not the black spot..

I have eaten plenty of panfish with black spot and have not noticed a difference in taste.. the local dnr has told me the fish are still perfectly fine to eat.. just remember to cook your fish properly and everything will be fine
