All personal preference as you say. I run 12 pound 100% flouro. If I want a bait to run a little deeper, I use 10, if I need it to run shallower, I will go as high as 17 pound.

If I need it to go really deep, I start strolling smile

I'm sure you guys have preferred brands, but I should be okay with whatever as long as it's 100% fluorcarbon right? Thanks for the tips!

Yep.

Cabelas X50 Fluorocarbon Line by Seaguar is good stuff. Good Price too!

I have used or currently use X50,Seaquar INVIZX™,Berkley 100% Fluorocarbon,Sunline Super Fluorocarbon Sniper

the x50 is a very good fluoro for the price point. I even spooled up some 25 pound i think it was on a flipping stick and it worked good for being such a heavy line. I don't like the berkely vanish fluoro. that stuff didn't fish good when i tried it.
