Buck rubs this time of year

I know we've had a crazy winter. But I'm sitting in my office at work and noticed a tree with a rub on it adjacent to a parking lot next to a stand of woods. What do you guys think? Do they still have their antlers?

Is it a Cherry tree? It maybe that Georges Washington kid playing with his hatch again!

As long as they are sporting a rack they might rub a tree every now and again. More than likely that is from last fall.

And from a big deer. The tines reaching up the trunk from the main portion of the rub indicate a pretty good sized buck IMO.

I think we're looking at someone's after dark possibly artwork, I think you'd have noticed this in the past 6 months if it were a rub. This rub if it is the buck must have lacked brow tines and been near 7 feet tall.
