Plumbing layout question.

Here is the layout I am thinking of going with in attempt to keep all lines hidden in the floor joist. The ends of the lines will be run down the walls when needed. The floor joists run up and down with the way the pic is layed out.

Any issues with running the 5 separate sub-main lines down to feed the appropriate appliances?

I could plumb through the joists if needed to cut back on the amount of sub-mains I have. Just not sure the best practice with this type of thing.

If the symbol in the lower left is a water heater, will there be a water softener before the water heater? If there is and you plumb it like your photo, you will have soft water to your outside facuets. Unless that is what you wanted to do.

Good point. I do not currently have a water softener and don't plan on getting one at this point. But, that's something I will put some thought into in case I want to add one in the future!

Yes, I am re-piping the home due to a bathroom install. All the current plumbing is in the wrong places, and I am moving the water heater to a different location.

If you need any assistance we would be happy to help. Our shop is located on the north side of Blaine so we are not to far away. Starting a remodel in mounds view tomorrow morning. Got a few DIY customers that we help threw the rough in stage and then they take it from there.

While you're at it you may want to consider putting another outside faucet in at the other side/end of the house. Also it doesn't look as if it would be too hard to plumb the outside spigot so that it would be able to bypass any water softener if you chose to add one later. You probably don't need one though given your water source.

Who pulls the permit and takes the inspection then?

Yea that appears to be drawnin up good. As long as you run 3/4inch to untill your last TEE.

I would like to know how you (krinkle) can help someone out without pulling permits and does inspections? Who becomes responsible if theres any issues afterwords ?

The for the info and offer to assist (krinkle), but I plan on tackling this one myself! I just wanted to be sure my layout made sense. I will be running 3/4 to the end of the main line, and all the way to both outside sillcocks.

No problem. Another tip is to watch that pipe size on the hot water side. That is one place you do not want to over size or you may be waiting a long time to get hot water to fixtures in the morning. Might even want to consider insulation on those lines or all of them. Helps keep the heat in on the hot and can prevent the cold side from sweating.

You guys are funny about the permit comments. Dont worry. We have pulled permits on every single plumbing job we have ever done just like you guys.
