Yeah.....I doubt that. Typical attitude of any person that can't find the walleye bite though....

wonder how many gators that thing has eaten. Had a fair amount of them little ones tug on the end of my line this year. Poor little gus with the white tipped tail dont stand a chance!

Muskie season on the St. Louis River remains open through March 1 with a 50-inch minimum size limit, but nearly all anglers who catch muskies release them regardless of regulations.

Is this correct?

I assumed a statewide Dec 1 closure?

It is a lot of water to search with some big boats to avoid, I would find structure along the main channel anywhere from the lift bridge back. Lots of bridge pillars and walls to fish along. A good start would be to find the baitfish probably and go from there. All tigers in these waters I believe are from natural reproduction, but someone correct me if I am wrong. I can imagine there are some enormous regular muskies in there if the Tigers come out looking like those.

Both Minnesota and Wisconsin stock that river. Because Wisconsin fish spawn in a similar area as pike, tigers are actually fairly common naturally in Wisconsin waters. More-so in the Wisconsin river area but occasionally elsewhere too.

Yes.....the tiger that ate a basketball! Knowing that fish is in there makes me want to give it a go. Quite a hike though from Mankato. Thanks for the info Nick. They certainly are one of the best looking fish a person could catch out of fresh water.
