Someone else mentioned that too....thanks for the tip though! Anyone hit Cedar lake near new prague? I may be off on the location as I have never been there but was advised to go there before. I understand it is a weed filled mess but think it would be fun in my lil boat with my "generic" hook cutter (sorry had to toss that in should work fine on bass lures LOL)

Hey I'm just an uptight MN musky fisherman who doesn't like to share any real info, but if you want to catch a tiger head to Nokomis and throw the biggest bass-sized spinnerbait you can find or a spoon around the bridge.

Great lake to fish cause parking is a breeze and there are a bunch in there with some quality size.

Cedar lake in south metro is the heaviest stocked tiger lake

some of the lakes listed has tiger lakes have actually had no or little stocking recently

tiger lakes sometime peak/ebb a good game plan is to look at the stocking history over a few years,,on average the dnr finds tiger muskies live around 7 years by checking the stocking history and recent past history you might find one that suggests a peak

The first Muskie I ever caught was on Ceader and yes I will admit it was by mistake I was fishing for eyes thru the ice in a sleeper house when at 2 am the rattle reel made one ring of the bell then I looked over and the thing was spinning so fast that the bells were stuck to the side of the reel.

after a good fight I landed the tiger muskie that was around 33 inches the fish was released to fight another day.

yep Ceader is in between New Prague andf Prior Lake I havent been on that body of water for many years.

good Luck in your Tiger Quest

Cedar is for sure the closest lake for you with tigers. Although there are a lot of under fished lakes a little further away wink

And for sure use smaller lures, I fished for years for tigers with standard sized lures very unsuccessfully and since I've started fishing them 'bass style' I've done a lot better.

Good luck
