Brought my Kodak Playsport along on sunday and mounted it to the side pole in my Trap.

Put together a little vid of some nice perch and sunnies, set to some great music...

Thanks all! Im going to work on getting more and better footage. That was my first attempt with the Playsport. Forgot to charge the battery and I didnt get footage of a 13-14 inch crappie getting off at the hole. He looked huge down through that clear ice!

Thanks to you, I just got back from getting another one. I jumped ship early on when the rumors of needed updates were just starting, and glad I did. Got an updated unit for quite a bit less than the original untested unit. Gonna give it a whirl on LOTW and hope to have a better report by the weekend.

btw, if anyone picks one up a Cabela's in Rogers, make triple sure it's been updated. I called in advance and was assured they had the updated ones on the shelves. I picked on up and double checked with the salesguy. He looked at the box, took it back to the shelf and picked out a different one. First one didn't have the update (marked by an "x" on the box)!! lol. Not that I couldn't have updated it when I got home, but after my first less than stellar experience with the "7", I wouldn't have been whistling dixie while doing it. Thank you Cabela's salesman!!

DarkCloud, I'd call marcum and have them update their video's wit yours. They still have the old jumpy screen vids....horrible...You could probably work some royalties in there somehow

goose89 - You should be beyond happy with your new 7. All my issues were cleared up with the update - jumpy bottom, dynamic depth, finer adjustments on the sensitivity...

I staff for Marcum and my intentions were to get some vid for them and HSO.

I just wish I had a full camera battery so I could have gotten more footage.

I got to test a few versions of the update as they were working on things and they nailed 2.9

Plus they are working on furture stuff...

I'm guessing I'll like it better. good to hear you and others say the jumpy bottom and finer sensitivity tuning is cleared up. Looking forward to seeing the Dynamic Depth feature as well.

That Lx-7 looks really cool. I'll have to get one some year.
