City of Lakes Skijoring 2012

Lake of snow moved the Loppet to Theo Wirth Park this year. Very strange to see the track in snow and the golf greens and tee boxes ready to go! Weird year.

Very nice, Dan! Only experience I've had with skijoring is being hooked up to a buddy's chocolate lab (who was big enough to put a saddle on) to go up fishing in the Boundary Waters. He was okay until a rabbit or squirrel crossed the trail and he was off after it - no stopping him until my skis got tangled up enough in the brush that he couldn't move any more!

LOL now that would have been something to see! I've been training my lab for skijoring. This was to be the year we raced...but no snow and no training. He will be 9 next year so it may be too late for any racing.

Looks like a great time. I actually look forward to your annual ski joring post each year. This year I wanted to go to the start of the John Beargrease but it was cancelled.
