jasonmichalski
The copper fins look great on that decoy. That would have have looked good on this decoy I made for a friend, I may have to try to make some fins like that, they sure look sweet.[Note from admin: Your post has been edited. jasonmichalski
I finally signed up here I've been spearing the last few years and have learned alot from you guys in the shadows. The talent on this site is amazing. I started carving a year ago and I think I have around 12 decoys made. That one was for a friend to give to his Dad as a gift they use to carve decoys and he is now a collector. I was happy when he loved it, but I had a hard time letting it go. I'm going to do some bigger decoys this year, most I have made are between 3-8", and I'm thinking of carving a limited number of custom decoys to have some extra money to feed my spearing habits. more pics of the decoy PC221131 by jasonmichalski, on Flickr [Note from admin: Your post has been edited. MJ1657
Judging by the bottle cap in your pics you must not be an alright guy. I would be interested in one of your decoys if you make some available. Welcome to the site there are alot of great guys on here. You should make plans to come to our Lake Winnie GTG next year. Mine always come out looking like the wooden pickle the kid on Bad Santa carved I will say this makes me laugh every time I read it. Kept at it carving isn't easy or everybody would be making decoys, and don't cut yourself on the next pickle decoy. Pickles might work if put on a HB spinner and weighted right, just a thought.
