Too Close?

Do any of you have a rule when you set up your darkhouse as to the closest you go to another shack? I've got a "neighbor" that seems to get closer each week, and pretty soon, we will be seeing each others decoys.

State law says that an ice fishing shelter must stay 10 feet away from another shelter.

I like to stay as far away from my competition as possible, but I would say 25 yards would be about as close as I would go.

Seems that if you stay in one spot they flock in. As soon as they do I move and throw them off.

If you are there when he is, tell him you enjoy spearing with no one set up close to you. If he doesn't move then I would move.

That is the best way to find a good spot on a lake you do not know well. Get nice and close to someone. If they move too quickly then you might as well move too. If it was a good spot they wouldn't move so quickly.
