Rope Lights

Wondering who uses them in their portables. What kind? How long? How much? Do you like them?

I currently use a small one mantle lantern that works good, but wouldn't mind switching it up a bit. Thoughts?

I like Rayovac SE3DLN Sportsman Xtreme LED Lantern

I picked this up and couldn't believe how small and bright it actually is. !

I use it in the Clam Voyager TCX

I picked mine up at Little Jim's Sport's in Annandale.

It looks so small and I thought there was no way this was going to work. When you take the cover off and hang it from the ceiling it lights the entire room up. It's great.

So what kind of battery life on a separate vexlair battery??

Just go with the FireBrites, They are small and compact you never have to take them down and they are very bright. Just got my 48" in the mail and it's more than enough for my portable. I've only used them once and ran them off an extra 12v battery..ran them for a good 3-4 hours and the battery was still at 85% when I plugged it in to my Marcum battery charger.

We had the 39 inch FireBrite LED running for 25 hours on a single 7 amp 12 volt battery. It was charged before the ice show and lasted 25 hours, of course it didn't die at the end either so you may be able to get 30 hours out of it. I only have a few left.

I have 3 FireBrite LEDs and love them! They were such an upgrade over the rope lights.

They last a lot longer on a battery as well.

I just ordered from Firebrite and was wondering how long after you order does it take to recieve you lights?

If they are in stock just a few days. I have a 48" in my Thermal Otter Lodge and they light it up like high noon. Very impressed with the battery life as well.

You can grab the Rayovac light at menards.

They are some pretty good lights for the small size, I like how they have a hanger on the bottom of them so you can hang them upside down from the house.
