Requesting Suggestions - Outboard Motor Repair/Service

I need some work/repair done on my '81 15hp Evinrude short shaft outboard ie linkage adjustment, kill switch replacement, and general tune up. I live in the NW metro. I am looking for a reliable repair service/small outboard mechanic for my Evinrude motor. Suggestions???

I am not sure of that area, but when I needed some work on an old motor several of the shops I talked to siad they didn't work on that old of motors anymore. Not sure if 81 is over the hump, but at 30 years old is prolly getting close. Good luck!

When I lived in New Hope and had a an older (81?) 35hp Evinrude that needed work I took it to Robinnsdale Marine. Fast work and affordable.

Thanks guys. I talked to Hannay's, and will also check with Robbinsdale; based upon proximity. Hard to believe it is tough to find service for motors of that vintage, but that is what I keep hearing as well.

I've got an 82 'rude 75 horse and parts are not hard to find. Haven't had trouble getting it serviced either, I have brought it to Elko Motorsports, but that's a bit of drive from the NW metro.

I take my '63 Seahorse to Robbinsdale Marine. Those guys know their stuff and work with older outboards all of the time...and I've patronized some of the other shops mentioned above

I had my '84 60hp Johnson rebuilt (full top end) by Robbinsdale Marine a couple years ago.

I was very happy with the service and thought the price was fair as well.

+1 for Robbinsdale Marine. Had my 25 tiller fixed there. The people were great, prices were great, and the work was top notch. Feul pump and head gasket, and had it back the same week. Only place I"ll go to from now on!
