Dad could have died, all deer hunters please read

Yesterday my dad was building a stand when his ladder slipped & he fell 20'. he's probably built 100 stands in his life and he got too confident. he didnt tie the ladder down & wasnt using a harness & didn't bring his cell with him. he ended up breaking 4 ribs & messed up his back pretty good, but it coulda been alot worse. he had to walk 2 miles back home & drove 14 miles into town. thankfully he's a tough old cuss and the doc said he'll heal up good, but let this be a lesson to everyone. please, for the sake of your family, use proper safety equipment! that fall could have easily killed him or left him paralyzed.

Glad to hear hes ok, Ive had a similar fall from a wooden ladder just 6 ft up that could have easily snapped my neck an left me dead or parylaized, also to dang over confident, letting the gaurd down. Thanks for posting this, reminders on the forum can save a life or injury. Boar
