This weather sucks!

The only good thing about this weather is its good for wildlife as far as icefishing this is redickuless we cant even snowmobile not even in the rocky mountains. My x-mas wish -20 below its just about january and we got 4-wheelers only aloud at low people getting rescued at millacs and open water in parts of the lakes around here. If we dont get cold weather soon my wifes gonna end up pregnant.

I know it. I look forward to two things in winter, ice fishing and hockey. So far I've gotten to do little of either.

Still a good 6-8" of ice around but with this weather who knows. Been doing a lot more grouse hunting this year though! lol

I'm upset as well. It was odd to be out on Mille Lacs on the 23rd and to be looking at open water a half mile away off of Shermans and Indian Point. Normally we would be driving all over by this time. Landed several fish and kept a meal, but I'm not sure about this weekend with these warm temps.

Yeah this weather does suck, and fishing for me hasn't been very good either. However it's been nice not having to fill the propane tank every week.

The worst part is that when I have been able to get out, it's right after (yet another) warm from moved through which makes for frustrating walleye fishing.

After last year I now hate the snow, but dragging the sled across grass or even wheeling my gear to the ice with a dolly is just plain depressing. One extreme to another, maybe after I drill some holes tomorrow I'll feel better.

I drove by Majestic Oaks Golf Course in Ham Lake today and people were golfing. Crazy!

Its so great for all wildlife I can go with little or no ice fishing.

maybe a drive north if I have the need that bad.

We have plenty of ice up here in waskish on upper red lake

The 21 1/2 is on a pile of broken up and refrozen ice. That day the average was 14.

I have a brand new, never been used, Canvas Craft Norpac portable sitting in my garage. And I retired earlier this year, so I have all the time in the world...almost! This weather is driving me nuts! I need to move to Canada!

I'll show my age again, but back in the 80's or so I used to take off the week between Christmas and New Years and fish every day. I had a permanent then and the ice was always safe to drive on. Maybe there is something to this global warming LOL

If you didn't have ice cleats, it would move you to the north as well. I literally had to crawl 100 yards to the landing. Then it was off to the ice cleat store.
