There is no requirement for non-resident (Canadian) and non-resident alien game bird hunters to contract their game bird hunts through a Bird Game Outfitter-guide. However, those who do choose to hire an outfitter-guide for such a hunt must do so through the holder of a valid Bird Game Outfitter-guide Permit.

In this section, the term "accompany" or "accompanied" means that the persons involved are close enough to each other to easily facilitate verbal communications without the need for electronic devices. It is acceptable, however, for the hunter to be placed in a stand location by the guide or hunter host, if they remain at that same location to be picked up later the same day.

Non-resident (Canadian) and Non-resident Alien hunters of big game, wolf and coyote must be accompanied by a licensed guide or a Hunter Host. Each of these hunters has two option

The part I didn't get was how you figure the big steroid-monkey is somehow absolved of guilt because he hired a guide. Also, he packed the head & whatever else out for the cameras & to prove how big & tough he is... not because he's a MENSA candidate, just to be a hero . Even he should be able to figure out all by himself that you need to tag a kill & not to wantonly waste game... EVER .

When you shoot a duck do you breast them or clean them and use the leg and wing meat too?

Same with grouse, pheasant, ect. We all waste a little game.

Or say you cook a bird up but you can't eat it all or there is just a tiny bit left, do you eat it, or do you throw it?

Jeesch. Many seem to be coming down pretty hard on him while the facts are very vague.

From the articles I've read, these are the violations.

Failure to properly tag

Leaving flesh in the field

Illegal possession of wild game.

All "could" have viable explanations. Lets say he tagged it at the truck and not in the field...Against regs? Maybe, but does that make him a poacher? Leaving flesh... so lets say the deer is shot in the front shoulder, the guide says its all damaged and to leave that one shoulder. Waste? Maybe in some eyes and not in others. Illegal possession... Who even knows what this means? Does this mean that his buddy tossed a deer in the back of his truck and followed in an SUV? Did the buddy stop for gas and he kept going? Who knows?

What is the guide doing anyways? Isn't the point of a guide to make sure you do everything right as well as help find game? That guide should be the one on the hook. He should have been the one procuring tags, verifying the animal was tagged properly, packing out the animal and making sure it was all taken and making sure the proper people had it in possession.

Question for y'all... Does any infraction of fish and game laws make one a poacher? When I give my Granny a pack of sunnies, should I also give her reg book? Maybe tell her its illegal to throw those fish away, so even if they are freezer burnt or her freezer breaks and they spoil, that she still better choke them down?

How the heck did they even figure out any of these violations existed? Were they filming or something? Edit: nevermind. they were filming, but nothing shows any violations, so who knows where they come up with this stuff. That's canada for ya, eh? Like a studio apartment above a really cool party.
